Warren Thompson started his career as a marketing assistant at Kintec: Footwear + Orthotics. Over the past decade, he has grown into the position of Marketing Director and built a team of 7 people. Most recently, Warren launched a creative marketing agency called Win With A Story and is now a Digital Marketing instructor at BrainStation.

Q. How did you get into your line of work?
A. I got into marketing by following my curiosity. I originally had no idea that I wanted to be in marketing, but an extremely boring engineering professor led me to ditch day 1 of class early and jump into a nearby marketing class. The rest is history!
Q. Growing up, was there something that helped shape who you are today?
A. I played a lot of sports and was very involved in music. I believe it gave me a strong sense of understanding of how to work effectively in a team and use my creativity to come up with unique ideas and solutions to the challenges we’ve overcome.
Q. What are you most passionate about in life?
A. I’m very passionate about learning and education. I didn’t fully realize it until my late 20’s, but my drive to stay curious and learn new things has led me down so many interesting and rewarding paths. I believe that learning is a lifelong pursuit and that it’s fundamental to our nature when fostered correctly.
Q. How do you see the future of good?
A. I see the future of good as being in the hands of people who are brave enough to recognize a need and fully commit to it. It’s these people that create the stories and movements which inspire others to act and eventually lead to exponential change. It’s also why I’m excited to be a part of the Brandvan team!
